ABOUT US
As graduates of Warsaw Theological Seminary (Wiola 1999, Mariusz 2001), ordained ministers of the Pentecostal Church in Poland and a young couple, we are serving God in His Church pastoring a small fellowship in southern Poland. Right from the day each of us met the Lord, we felt called to the ministry in His Kingdom. We have dedicated our lives to Him completely and are determined to serve Him as long as we live (we are 26 now).
God has been using us in leadership, administration, teaching and pastoral counseling. We have also been involved in children and youth ministry and an outreach to the addicted to alcohol and drugs. We moved to Namysłów three years ago and since August 2002 have been pastors of the church here.
Our ministry motto is a Scripture from Jeremiah 29:11-14: „For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray for me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found to you declares the Lord.”
OUR FELLOWSHIP
The church we are ministering to is a small fellowship of 32 adults and 8 children. A number of these people have suffered from rejection and poor leadership of people who themselves were going through a crisis. Some time ago God started a healing process in the church and by His grace we witnessed in the past three years how 14 people joined the church as members (three of them were new believers) and another 10 have started attending regularly.
In spite of past problems we are learning to look ahead and side by side “going and making disciples” of the people of our town and nearby villages.
OUR VISION
As a Fellowship of God’s children the Church of Jesus Christ we want to:
1. Continually grow in discipleship, sound doctrine and service to Jesus and people
2. Make ourselves known to the society as people who follow Jesus and God’s Word. We will try to achieve it through prayer and charity services among the needy, through our openness to other Christians, and finally through cultural and educational projects.
3. Reach out to at least 15% of the population of our town and nearby villages. We are determined to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a peaceful and gentle way, without hurting or mocking others.
4. Be a Church open to everybody, regardless of social status, age, sex, race, background or education. We are not concerned about dirty carpets or stairs if they are dirtied by a crowd hungry of God!
REACHED GOALS SO FAR
Apart from activating the believers in the fellowship, we have seen God’s blessing of our endeavors in the following areas:
- Starting a regular Bible teaching program for the children
- Running three children camps for about 50 kids each
- Starting a Consultation Program for alcohol addicts (“New Hope Ministries” branch) meetings are held twice a week
- Reactivating and running a soup-kitchen for homeless and needy during autumn-winter months every Sunday we feed 25 people; afterwards we offer a Bible study to them; we also help them with second-hand clothes and dry food supplies
- Opening a branch of Noah’s Ark Aid Fellowship, which offers a therapy to drug addicts and their families. Local authorities recognized the value of the program by giving us two locums, in which we run information centers, and a doctor’s office in a local clinic, where the actual therapy is done
- Leading anti-drug seminars in local secondary schools
- Running ecumenical programs in secondary schools together with Catholic teachers
- Holding at least once a quarter a public outreach (concerts, street evangelism, seminars)
- Holding Conferences focusing on different issues (Israel, Holy Spirit, ministry and evangelism, prayer) offered every other month to leaders, youth or women
